StepChange video series

NYU Sustainability Advocate A.J. Jastrzembski from the Media Production office has been awarded a Green Grant from the Sustainability Task Force to carry out a variety of video projects ranging from 'how to green' clips to coverage of campus events, and more.
She is looking for people to interview on the following topics:

* * * Do you (or someone you know) have an international perspective on environmentalism, sustainability or general green-ness? I'm hoping to create a short video about global perspectives on sustainability. You don't have to be an expert (although that won't disqualify you ) - looking for many voices.

* * * How do you get here or there? What's your commute? (Blader, walker, rider, biker, runner, driver, ferrier, skip hop jumper?) Do you get muddy? Do you get mad? Do you have a commute like nobody else? Can I duct tape a camera to your bike for a couple minutes?

Please email A.J at stepchangevideo@gmail.com if you are interested and would like to participate in this project.

New Sustainability Website Tour!

Welcome, NYU Community, to the shiny new Sustainability Website!

We hope to offer a growing wealth of resources, advice, and community support that serves as a one-stop-shop for getting you connected to this effort to transform NYU into the greenest urban university in the world.

This blog is where we in the Sustainability Office can share our thoughts and projects as they develop, and also key you into the many nifty events and ideas that cross our desks.

But to start, we encourage you all to have a look around and explore the new content on our site. You'll find more-complete information about some of our big projects (the Sustainability Task Force, Green Grants, Advocate Program, Energy Strategy, etc.), and a lot of new stuff too - check out Links and Resources especially for a lot of helpful tools.

Most of all, we want to engage you - the students, faculty and staff of New York University - in the ongoing collaborative process of reimagining our collective relationship with the environment. This means that we need your help and participation, both in the programs and projects we have in place, and by channeling your own ideas into reality through the Green Grants and other initiatives.

Thank you for all that do, and we look forward to working with you to make NYU a diverse, healthy, and sustainable place to live, work and learn.
