Liz Funk, Author of Supergirls Speak Out Visiting UHALL on 4/09/09!

Join UHALL Council for a book talk, discussion, and dinner with Liz Funk, author of SUPERGIRLS SPEAK OUT on 4/9/09 THURSDAY at 7 PM in the C-Lounge. Liz Funk is a New York-based freelance writer and college student. Her writing has been published in USA Today, the Christian Science Monitor, Newsday, CosmoGIRL!, the Huffington Post, Tango magazine, Vibe Vixen magazine, and Girls’ Life, among others.

Liz Funk’s book is available in the NYU bookstore. She is available to sign copies of her book at the event. SUPERGIRLS SPEAK OUT is an investigative look at a generation of over-achieving “Supergirls”—and the dangerous consequences that stem from their need to succeed—written by a nineteen-year-old journalist with a firsthand view of the widespread phenomenon.
