The Reader

This Sunday, FFIR Patsy Cooper and I took a group of students to see Stephen Daldry’s “The Reader,” which has been nominated for Best Picture. Kate Winslet has been nominated for her role in the movie, playing a woman named Hanna, who has two life-altering secrets.

I’ve posted some thoughts about the film over at the U-Hall Oscarfest blog:

Leave a comment about my thoughts on The Reader — or about any of the categories that interest you — and you will be entered in our weekly Oscarfest contest (one commenter will each week will receive a $25 Virgin Records gift certifciate.) You’ll also be entered in the year-end iPod giveaway

Stay tuned for upcoming FFIR Oscar Events: Thursday, Feb 5, we will be showing the documentary Man on Wire in the Commons - see Philippe Petit walk a tightrope between the World Trade Towers… Sunday, Feb 8, we will be taking a group to see Frost/Nixon, so watch for an email announcing those details — and look on The Common Room for more details!
