One Thing I Hate: Tristan Wilds Career Arc
Tristan Wilds exploded off the screen in The Wire as Michael. He delivered one of the most nuanced performances that I’ve ever seen. It was pitch perfect. Completely heartbreaking. The stuff Emmys are made of (that is if Emmy voters ever gave The Wire the shot it deserved). Now? He’s the star of the new 90210. Let me say that again. He’s the star of 90210. I will now light myself on fire.

with this… Some context without spoiling too much(THOUGH SPOILERS ARE AHEAD): Michael was a great/smart kid who has gotten mixed up in crime and now works as muscle (think an assassin) for a gang, but after a huge plot point that I will leave unspoiled things fall apart and he knows that Dukie (the other older kid) and Bug (his little brother that he and Dukie take care of) are in trouble. Michael takes Bug to live with his aunt and Dukie (at Dukie’s request) to a spot where all the homeless heroin addicts hang. (Warning some language ahead)
