I’m still sick. It’s raining outside. I have a giant midterm in two days. Life is beautiful.
One Thing I Love: The Obama Show
Tomorrow night at 8pm, Barack Obama will have a half hour television program on NBC, CBS, FOX, and probably countless cable news channels who want ratings. (ABC initially balked at the bid not wanting to preempt “Pushing Daisies,” by the time they decided to get on board the Obama campaign had allocated the funds for ABC’s ad buy elsewhere). I have no idea what he’s going to say, but if it is anything like his new “closing argument” speech then it will be a sight to see. This is the one time I will forgive all of you for not watching “Pushing Daisies.” One. Time.
(Here is the full video of the “closing argument” delivered yesterday in Canton, Ohio)
One Thing I Hate: ABC for not buying in sooner
ABC, I assume you want “Pushing Daisies” to get ratings. Now, call me crazy but how do you think it’s going to do up against programming that every single network is carrying? And obviously the ratings for tomorrow night will be inconsequential. They don’t reflect a typical Wednesday night. But from a creative standpoint. How many people do you think will watch the show? I am a die hard fan, and I’ll be seeing what the Junior Senator from Illinois has to say. I think you guys blew this one.

I don't have a TV and I don't really want to spend the effort going out to find one, despite the fact that I know my suitemate has a TV. If I had a TV, I probably still wouldn't watch Pushing Dasies because I've never had much interest in those shows.
