New to using Blackboard? Want to learn about new tools and features? NYU Faculty Technology Services is happy to present Blackboard training services to accommodate all different types of learning, whether you learn best in a group, one-on-one with a trainer, or through step-by-step instruction on your own. More information on each type of training, as well as how to sign up, can be found below and on the Blackboard Training site.
Online Training
Video tutorials regarding every Blackboard function from the simplest, such as adding an announcement, to the most complex, such as utilizing advanced Grade Center functionality, are available through the Blackboard Training Page. Accompanying each video are downloadable step-by-step instructions for those who would prefer to glean their information from a text guide with pictures. The videos and instructions are also completely searchable in the Ask ITS Knowledgebase, making this information easily accessible to you.

Group Training Sessions
Group Training Sessions are held for six weeks near the start of each semester, (roughly mid-August through the end of September for the Fall semesters, and early January through late February for the Spring semesters). Each week will have one session devoted to the basics of setting up a new course site, and another session on various important topics from communicating with your students to grading your students’ work. These sessions occur on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 12pm until 1pm, in the Lower Level (LL1) Classrooms of Bobst Library. To reserve a seat in any or all of the group sessions, please visit the Blackboard Training site at:

Walk-in Clinics
Walk-in Clinics are available during the remaining weeks of each semester (roughly the beginning of October through late December for the Fall semesters, and late February through mid-May for the Spring semesters). You do not have to make an appointment for these clinics, but please be aware that there may be other faculty members in attendance as well. Clinics occur on Fridays from 12pm until 1pm and are held in the Digital Studio on the second floor of Bobst Library. For more information, please visit:
