Request Fall 2008 Content Be Available IN TIME for Spring 2009

The new Blackboard is almost here, and with it Spring 2009 course site activation. When you log into your Spring 2009 course site for the first time, you will have access to course content from Fall 2007, Spring 2008, and Summer 2008.

"What if I need content from Fall 2008 for my Spring 2009 course?", you may ask. Course content from Fall 2008 will be available to all faculty by January 31, 2009. If you need the content in time for Spring 2009 courses, please complete a Blackboard Help Form making sure to select Archive/Restore as your Help Type.

Archive/Restore requests must be submitted by December 15, 2008.

Archiving of Fall 2008 course sites will begin Monday, January 5, 2009. Due to the Blackboard System Upgrade please note the following information regarding any changes you make to your course content:

1. All changes made to the course site prior to Monday, January 5, 2009 will be archived and restored in the new system.
2. Any changes made to the course site on or after January 5, 2009 will not be brought forward into the new system.

We expect to have requested course content archived and restored by Friday, January 9th. Depending on demand and the time required for this process, course content may not be available until Monday, January 12th.

All Fall 2008 course content will be available in the new Blackboard system by January 30, 2009.
