The hands-on training sessions are designed to provide in-depth training on specific topics related to using Blackboard for teaching and learning. Participants will have a chance to practice techniques directly in a course site.
Sessions will be held every Tuesday and Friday from 12:00-1:00pm, through February 27, 2009 (except University holidays). All sessions will be in Bobst Library, PC Lab 2, Lower Level 1.
Different sessions will cover different topics. Check the schedule to register for a session that will meet your needs and interests. Topics include:
- Setting Up a Blackboard Course Site
- Communicating & Collaborating
- Grading Student Work
- Presenting Content & Learning Paths
- Managing Assessments & Student Submissions
All are welcome, but registration is required.
Important Note: Due to the upgrade we cannot accommodate early course site activation requests, which means November participants will be working in sandboxes. Work completed in the November training session will not be available in the actual course site. Course site activation may be requested December 1st. Participants with active course sites may use these during the hands-on training sessions.
