Front Garden Tree Removal
July 30, 2008

Prior to construction work at 19 Washington Square North, a certified arborist from Care of Trees examined the two existing trees in the front garden.

The London Planetree on the east side of the property is in good health and will remain. Unfortunately, the Norway Maple on the west side of the garden has significant decay in the roots and lower stem. Based upon this report the tree will be removed on August 13, 2008.

The University recognizes how important trees are to the quality of life in the neighborhood and is committed to planting a new, healthy tree when construction is completed.
