Concepts

Concepts

Below are three different possible concepts for my final project. I prefer the “circus” project idea because it could be visually beautiful and also a challenge.

--------------

Theme: First Date
Technique: Silhouette
Description: Two people are on a first date. Their silhouette will interpret the actions and reactions.

--------------

Theme: Letter
Technique: Typography animation
Description: A person writes a letter to another person. With the use of typography, the sender becomes the words in the letter and travels to the receiver.

--------------

Theme: Circus
Technique: Multiplane
Description: A picture of a circus is lying on the ground. When zoomed in on it begins to animate. Multiplanes will be used to go deeper into the picture. For example, a fire breather may blow fire and the smoke will morph into the image of a trapeze artist.

I really like the style of artwork in this image and believe it would be easy to manipulate and create multiplanes.

This image artwork would work well because it is an actual ad for a circus and it portrays the time period I am shooting for.

This is an old photograph of Coney Island. It overall look is the time period I would like to set my short in. So I plan to use many pictures like this one.

HBO’s Carnival Title Sequence
-This Title Sequence almost portrays the exact look I am going for but with a different subject. I love the artwork used and the idea of old photographs. Because of the closing of Coney Island I will be able to get footage of a deserted place and bring it to life again with old artwork, photos and footage.
