Twiddle dee doo, a poem for you.

Sitting here in front of my computer
Has never made me feel quite this way.
No longer am I confined so tightly
in a room like sardines sitting in a tray.

I can lean back in my chair,
not hitting my roommate by accident
or stretch and mistakenly pull her hair.
There is actual space here
as far as the eye can see.
Do you smell that fresh air?
Ahh....I'm practically free.

The garbage is concealed,
Nothing here smells.
The air conditioner and heater function.
It's not hot as Hell
or cold as a winter Russian (season---dang it).

Despite all the space,
All the lack of stress,
there's something different about this place.
Something that can make you feel...
depressed.

Sure there's sunshine galore
Food to eat, HDtv to watch
...and much, much more.

Do you hear what I hear?
That's right. You don't.
it's so silent you could hear the drop of a tear. (haha)
When I look out the window,
what do I see?
Not the bustling of people,
it's the buzzing of bees.

All the green in my garden
Is really very pretty
But maybe what I want
is the very dark and gritty.
Where are the flame-eaters in Union Square?
Those people who dress up like hot dogs
without a single care?

How do I get from Point A to Point B?
You mean I have to drive while it's traffic-y?
Where's my subway system
That I'd so fallen in love with?

Suddenly walking is such a hassle.

You shouldn't take the elevator to the second floor.

Watch out for that deer on the side of the street!

Furthermore, VALERIE...I MISS YOUR GUITAR HERO.

It's always nice to be with family
Going from coast to coast
comes with certain shocks of reality.
There's nothing left to do
nothing more to say.

New York City had its splendor and glee,
I wonder if the city misses me.

My last few weeks with her were dramatic.
I swore to her I would never again be her fanatic.

I look back on the crowded rush-hour subways
The millions of things I can do in the city during one day.

The angry security guards
The aggravating taxi rides
The aggressive New Yorkers who never wear red socks.
I miss you all, and I still think the Angels rock.

Broadway had never once seemed so far away
the lights had never been so dim.
The museums, the parks so empty and bare.
With a sigh and a wave I say "Good Bye"
Two weeks too late.

I'm just a little sad. My time is running short around here.

One of my art projects is almost completed. It's going to be VERY exciting.

I highly recommend watching "Juno". It's excellent. Top-notch. And you know me, I would never recommend something mediocre. :)

without further ado...

Go Lakers! (ah, this is what I love about LA)
