OK, so let's play a guessing game:
Statement 1: A number between 1-10 that rhymes with "Free".
Statement 2: A city in France that is known for a big tower and an arc.
Statement 3: A word that people shout when they're happy (or at least I say it a lot).
So put all 3 statements together:
Jessica is going to Statement 2 in Statement 1 months. Statement 3!
Right now I have to memorize some more French words for class tomorrow...
Ugh, sometimes it's really difficult to wake up for an 8 AM class. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy waking up early because it's like you get a good start on the day. But, it really discourages me when the sun isn't out there to warm me up. As autumn is taking hold, the sun is rising later. As the sun rises later, Jessica has less motivation to wake up.
Soon it'll get so cold (so very cold) and so dark (so very dark)...
The key to getting up on time (for me, that is) is to set the alarm clock earlier than you need to wake up. For instance, for class in the morning, I like to wake up by 6:54 AM (it doesn't take me long to get ready, and I like that extra minute). So, I'll set the alarm for 6:51 (this is starting to sound really lame) and then I'll sit up, turn off the alarm and sit there. I'll sit there and mentally prepare myself for the day.
Then, alas! I will be up and about by 6:54 and go do my thang. More importantly, on two of these days when I wake up for an 8 AM class, I also have to do the both arduous and daunting task of getting from our 194 Mercer Street class to 48 Cooper Square. Sure, on a map it look OK, but believe me -- it's a different story when you have to travel in less than 15 minutes while there's construction on the road, and people walking too slowly because they're texting someone. It's so tiring, and I just want to get to class on time, is that so much to ask?
Forgive me if I run into you (by accident!), or slightly push you aside, or even squeeze between you and your friend to get in front of you...
Today I want to make a special apology to Crying Blond Girl With The Cigarette In Her Hand And Cell Phone In The Other: I know you were probably having a tough time and you wanted to share your story to your phone, but you were walking too slowly, so I had to slightly maneuver myself around you. I know you glared at me, and I know I stepped on your foot (and you were wearing flip-flops! Ouch). Inhaling your smoke was slowing me down.
Here's a new cartoon for the week: ![]()
(PS: the answer to the above puzzle is: Jessica is going to Paris in three months. Yay! Why? Because the study abroad program approves her desire to become French)

3 months? Holy crap. Lucky you. Seems like you're really fitting in in New York. It makes me kind of sad because I want to go to college now... HAHAHA.
Love you lots, Jess. Please, be safe and don't jaywalk or jump over cars...
