Upcoming Class on Cited Reference Searching

Citation Indexes: How to do Cited Reference Searching Using Databases

PLACE: Classroom PC2, Lower Level 1 of Bobst Library
DATE/TIME: Wednesday, March 5th @ 3:00pm

The Web of Science, Google Scholar, and other bibliographic databases provide access to a unique search method: "Cited Reference Searching." Navigate forward, backward, and through the literature, searching all disciplines and time spans. Users may also navigate to electronic full-text journal articles subscribed by NYU. (45 min.)

Walk-in sessions, no is registration required.

Curious as to whether anyone involved with this course has any comments on the DOI citation system and whether or not it might be viable to extend an alternative system PaperID back to the author level rather than the publisher level.
