Carrying a baby

Hey everyone,

This past weekend, as a result of a recommendation from Mark, I took out the RZ67 (to many people at the cage's dismay) and shot medium format for the first time in my life.

For those of you that don't know, the RZ67 is basically a grenade launcher. It's huge, requires a lot of time and effort to reload film, and supposedly there are other cameras in the cage that can do the same thing with less hassle. But, alas! I wanted my first medium format experience to be a complete departure from 35mm and it most definitely was.

I took the train to Beacon, New York with the Fine Arts Society to go see the Dia: Beacon contemporary art museum. The trip is beautiful, I recommend it for any and all of you. All of the society members left around 3 but I stayed until around 6 exploring the area and testing out the RZ.

Here's an excerpt:

I rather enjoyed the similar color palettes in these two images. This last one was not taken with the RZ.

To be honest, I was just happy that I somehow managed to get the pictures to come out.
