CCTOP Director's Blog

To all of our returning students- welcome back!  I hope you enjoyed your break, and you’re picking up where you left off.

To our graduates, congratulations!  We had 18 students graduate this fall and winter, and while we’re sad to see them go, we’re excited to see them get started on the next leg of their journey.

Finally, to our 26 newest CCTOP students, welcome to NYU!  Congratulations on your admission, we’re very excited to have you here in the Steinhardt School and in CCTOP.  As always, if you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to call or email me at (212) 998-5139 or cctop@nyu.edu, so that we can make this transition as smooth and seamless as possible.

To all of you, let me know if you have any questions or concerns, and, by all means, drop by anytime (3rd floor of Pless Hall), even just to say hi and let me know that all is well!  Check here often for updates on deadlines, announcements and opportunities to visit or speak to your community college colleagues, as well as my schedule for being out on the road.

Just to keep you on top of the many dates and deadlines flying around, here are some helpful links and dates you’ll need soon.

Need to drop a course? The last day to drop on Albert is Monday, Feb 9; the full withdrawal schedule is here: http://www.nyu.edu/registrar/registration/fall-spring-withdrawal-schedule.html

Need to add a class?  Monday, Feb 2 is the last day to add on Albert.

- Make sure your advisor is on board with any schedule changes, and if you have any questions about potential impact on financial aid for dropping a course, let me know.

FAFSA, FAFSA, FAFSA!!!  Make sure you have your FAFSA update for the 2009-2010 school year filed by the March 1 deadline. General financial aid information is available here: http://www.nyu.edu/financial.aid/basicinfo.html.
