Current Students: Dates to be aware of!

For anyone graduating at mid-year, remember that the filing deadline for January Graduation is FRIDAY, OCT. 3.

The last day to declare a course pass/fail is Monday, OCT. 6.

You won’t have classes on MONDAY, OCT.13 for Columbus Day, but if you need an administrative office, the University is open that day- we’ll all be here!

For new students, just make sure that your final, official transcripts are in from your previous institutions, so you don’t have any delays when registration opens on NOV. 10.

Important Info for Current CCTOP Students- Financial Aid Appeals

The Steinhardt Office of Student Affairs has created an electronic appeals process for anyone receiving need-based financial aid.  You can appeal for additional award money through the form at https://www.nyu.edu/financial.aid/appeal-form-ru.html.  The deadline for Spring Semester appeals is December 15, so don’t wait!

Don’t forget that spring registration opens on November 10- If you haven’t gotten you final transcript in from your previous institution, make sure you do ASAP.  Not getting it in affects your registration date, because your credits cannot all be posted.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Current Students- Become Transfer Ambassadors!

This announcement just came from the Student Resource Center; it’s a great opportunity to help out new transfer students as they make the adjustment you’ve made.

The Student Resource Center would like to inform you that our Transfer Ambassador Application is going out this Monday, November 3rd!
If you are a transfer or transitioning student and have been a student at NYU for at least one semester then you are eligible to apply!
Being a Transfer Ambassador is a wonderful opportunity to get involved in the NYU community, take on a leadership role and help new and current transfer students.
If you would like to set up a meeting to discuss exactly what the position is and entails... or you are a previous Transfer Ambassador and would like to hear about the new changes... please contact Carolyn Endick at carolyn.endick@nyu.edu to set up a time to talk.
