Silencio

Silencio donde el ruido impera
Silence like water droplets in between rocks
Seek the silence, share the silence
Divide the silence to multiply it
Listen to the silence
The voices of those who were, silence
The voices that never were, a louder silence
The silence of old
The silence of cold
The silence of gold

Risk

There is a quote by Anais Nin upon which I have learned to meditate.  Here is the quote:

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

I don't remember the full context of this quote.  I suppose a simple search on the Internet would do, if only to get some idea.  But perhaps doing research with some university tools may yield more interesting sources.

She was a writer.

If things go awry

I promise to commit no acts of violence
be it physical or otherwise
if things go awry
- Interpol

I have been listening to Interpol the past day or two on my iPhone, during my subway rides. Which reminds me that I want to get the most recent album that came out recently and which I have not yet gotten.

Zen

No Zen for daddy.
- Charlie Crews, Life, NBC

Cop accused of murder serves 12 years in prison, is cleared, released, sues the police department, the PD settles the case, making him a millionaire and re-instating him as a detective. Now he practices his craft with the same Zen that helps him move on from his experience, while trying to figure out who framed him and why. But- no zen for daddy.
