the Library of Congress has issued a report of the pilot project that was launched with Flickr in 2008. The project included the availability of two historical photographic collections on the Flickr photosharing site.

Propublica.org, "an independent, non-profit newsroom that produces investigative journalism in the public interest" has published a graphic perspective History of U.S. gov't. Bailouts. The article contains the "cost in 2008 U.S. dollars" for each bailout.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics has published Women in the Labor Force: a Data Book (2008 Edition):

The New York Times reports that the White House website has been revamped.

Of particular interest for students of government are sections for Executive Orders and Proclamations.

The site will also reportedly offer ways for citizens to make comments on legislation proposed by the President as well as a new Office of Public Liaison.
